I was tidying up some old papers and found an article I had forgotten I had written. “The Question: Are there any Software Testing Superheroes?”

This appeared in the Eurostar magazine that was handed out at Eurostar 2013. I can’t find any mention of this in my blog or websites when I search, so I’m publishing it here, a mere five years later.

On the 21st of March I hosted a “Dev Ops and QA” session at the Test Focus Groups in London.

This turned into a small 2 page article for Test Magazine in the May 2017 issue.

I wrote an article for the Testing Circus April 2016 issue. With the controversial and thought provoking title of “Join the Anti-“Test Automation” Brigade”. It has substance and is not just click bait.

TEST Magazine asked me to step in and write a quick answer to the question “As more organisations transition to an agile environment, how will the testers role be redefined?”.

Testing Circus interviewed me for their May 2014 issue.

The August 2012 edition of Professional Tester contains an article I wrote to help promote the Eurostar 2012 conference and my WebDriver tutorial at the conference. The article was entitled “Abstraction in Action” and it provides a brief overview of some automation code abstraction principles and models.

The May 2013 edition of TestNet news has an article I wrote to accompany my Keynote. The article was entitled “Silver Bullets and Magic Bullets”, it covers similar ground to the Keynote but shorter and with slightly different analogies.

Software Testing Club released a charity ebook in 2010 filled with QnA from testers world wide, this was my contribution.

Back in 2004, Danny Faught and I collaborated on an article for Better Software, about how to use tools when you have no budget, or people will not let you install anything. The article was entitled “Being Resourceful when your hands are tied”.

The January 2004 edition of Professional Tester contains an article about self education and practise. The article was entitled “Help Yourself”.
